Nutcote
Nutcote - Who does not know any legendary writer in Australia, May Gibbs. There have been many children's stories he wrote, and the most famous is the story entitled 'Snugglepot and Cuddlepie', published in 1918. He is the author Dongen's first fantasy that comes from this kangaroo country.
May Gibbs and her husband, J.O. Kelly, moved to Nutcote (so nicknamed this house) in 1925. The house was designed by a renowned Australian architect BJ Waterhouse and has now become a national museum. Gibbs lived here for about 44 years. In this house, Gibbs managed to make a simple cartoon called 'Bib and Bub' and some book illustrations.
Its intent, in 1970 gave this house (Nutcote) to Unicef. Currently, Nutcote functioned as a center of learning and the development of art and children's literature. In it there is a museum, education center, gallery, and the Gibbs house. Visitors can look around the house, drawings, sketches, artifacts, letters, memorabilia until May Gibbs.
